Zotarolimus-eluting Resolute Integrity versus Everolimus-eluting Xience Xpedition Stents in Management of Very Long (>30 mm) De Novo Coronary Artery Stenosis
Cardiovascular Revascularization Medicine — Cardiovasc Revasc Med 18(3), 160–164, Published 14 December 2016 (S. Patra et al.)
A comparative clinical study of Zotarolimus-eluting Resolute Integrity and Everolimus-eluting Xience Xpedition stents in the treatment of very long de novo coronary artery lesions.
Overview
Long coronary lesions (greater than 30 mm) remain technically challenging to treat and are associated with higher rates of restenosis compared with shorter lesions, making stent platform choice clinically relevant.
This study compared procedural and clinical outcomes between the Zotarolimus-eluting Resolute Integrity stent and the Everolimus-eluting Xience Xpedition stent in patients treated for very long de novo coronary artery stenosis.
The results add to the comparative evidence base on newer-generation drug-eluting stent platforms in complex, long-segment coronary disease.
